Site Supervisor or Crew Lead

Are you outgoing and like to speak up? If you are good and taking notes and following up, consider a career that involves leading teams to manage construction and energy projects.  Site supervisor and crew lead roles start at $50K and up in most cities.

Plant Operator or Green Infrastructure Technician

Operators and technicians keep buildings and outside environments working like new - as they were designed. Indoors, you will be responsible for monitoring and repairing equipment. Outdoors, you will monitor and repair landscapes. In the green economy, many of these jobs pay $50K or more.

Community Outreach Lead

In the green jobs space, Community Outreach & Engagement Leads help Urban Greening & Electrification teams drive engagement. Tasks range from using GIS to identify vulnerable households to building relationships with residents and policymakers while collecting data and supporting storytelling campaigns.

The Experience You'll Get

Full-time Work

Corps Members work full-time for a year in a range of roles with non-profit or government agencies, focusing on areas such as public safety, health, climate change, environmental education and sustainable agriculture

Mentors

The host organizations that choose to participate in the Service Year are leaders in their respective fields that want to play an active role in developing entry-level talent. You will be surrounded by individuals at every level who are cheering for your success and doing everything possible to see you succeed.

A Bonus

Participants will earn a completion award of $6,000 that may be accessed as a direct payment or as a deposit into a Maryland 529 Education Account for those pursuing their studies.
